Bringing Our Sheaves - Poem by Elizabeth Akers Allen (Florence Percy)

The time for toil is past, and night has come,
   The last and saddest of the harvest eves;
Worn out with labor long and wearisome,
Drooping and faint, the reapers hasten home,
    Each laden with his sheaves.

Last of the laborers, Thy feet I gain,
Lord of the harvest! and my spirit grieves
That I am burdened not so much with grain
As with a heaviness of heart and brain;
   Master, behold my sheaves!

Full well I know I have more tares than wheat,
Brambles and flowers, dry stalks and withered leaves;
Wherefore I blush and weep, as at Thy feet
I kneel down reverently and repeat:
  "Master, behold my sheaves!"

Few, light, and worthless; yet their trifling weight
    Through all my frame a weary aching leaves;
For long I struggled with my helpless fate,
And stayed and toiled till it was dark and late,
Yet these are all my sheaves.

And yet I gather strength and hope anew;
For well I know thy patient love perceives
Not what I did, but what I strove to do;
And though the full, ripe ears be sadly few,
   Thou wilt accept my sheaves.

Keep on Plowing, Sowing, Watering, and Waiting...

Remember, true love for the Savior and His gospel cannot burn up at the
Judgment Seat of Christ.

The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he
beg in harvest, and have nothing. (Prov 20:4)  The harvest is past, the
summer is ended, and we are not saved. (Jer 8:20)  And she said, I pray
you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so
she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she
tarried a little in the house. And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz
commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves,
and reproach her not: (Ruth 2:7,15) He that observeth the wind shall not
sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. (Ecc 11:4)  And
let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if
we faint not. (Gal 6:9) Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that
send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass. (Isa 32:20) Say not
ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say
unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white
already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth
fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth
may rejoice together. (John 4:35-36)  So then neither is he that
planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the
increase. (I Cor 3:7) He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with
him.  (Psalms 126:6)  He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he
that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame. (Prov 10:5)  But
this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he
which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. (II Cor 9:6) Be
ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and
for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished. (Joel
1:11) The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye
therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into
his harvest.  (Luke 10:2) The harvest is the end of the world. (Matt
13:39) For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth
should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker
of his hope. (I Cor 9:10) Look to yourselves, that we lose not those
things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. (II John
1:8) Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and
hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
(James 5:7) And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and
reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth
ears in the valley of Rephaim.  (Isa 17:5)  And they of Bethshemesh were
reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their
eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it. (I Sam 6:13)

All-- Here's the 'Message of Mercy' that every 'sinner' needs to hear
and heed before they enter eternity:

Time is flying by, life is short, death is near, and eternity is close
at hand for you. Your life is very frail and could end any day. You
have sinned; and your sin deserves God’s justice. The wrath of God
abides on you now, because of your secret and public sins, and for your
rejection of Christ Himself. God sees the sins of your youth as though it
were yesterday. God sees your thought-life and imaginations. Now
understand - Nothing is hidden from the eyes of God. The eyes of Lord are in
every place beholding the evil and the good. (Proverbs 15:3)

Every time you sin, you harden your heart a little more. And the harder
your heart becomes, the more difficult it is for God to reach you. But
God has provided a great Remedy for your evil. It is high time for you
to make the wisest decision a sinner could make – TRUST the Lord
Jesus Christ. Your good works are good-for-nothing; you can’t save
yourself.

There is nothing freer than a gift, and truly, there is nothing freer
than the free gift of God. God the Father GAVE His Son for poor sinners
like you. The eternal God, who made all things, was not willing that
any should perish; therefore, He gave His Son to ransom you from sin. God
provided a Sinless Blood Sacrifice to take away your guilt, and, to do
this, He gave His Son to live and die here on this earth. God gave us
Himself.

JEHOVAH GOD was manifested in human flesh - His name earthly name was
JESUS (Jehovah Savior). The Creator who had never been seen by the eye
of man was veiled in human flesh. Jesus was God and Man in one person.
Jesus was the gift of Grace, the gift of Love, the gift of God’s own
Self. The eternal Son of God came here to suffer as a Substitute, so
that miserable wretches like us might not perish. God Incarnate bled and
died for your sins to save you from the wrath to come. God gave His Son,
the Son gave Himself to die, and by an act of faith, if you will TRUST
HIM, Christ is your Savior forever.

The greatest proof of Jesus’ condescending love is when He came down
from the Throne of Glory to the Cross of Calvary. “He loved me, and
gave Himself for me.” (Gal 2:20) Jesus obeyed the Law of God perfectly
and was without sin; He was absolutely pure in thought, word, and
deed. He descended from Heaven to the manger of Bethlehem – then He
stooped even further to bear your sins in His own body on the Cross. Christ
Jesus, out of mighty love, came here to earth, lived, labored, and
died, giving His whole life away, so that ungodly sinners might be saved
freely through Him. He did not come to gain anything for Himself, but out
of pure love, He suffered the wrath of God for you. He endured untold
anguish even unto death on Calvary’s Cross for your redemption.
Remember this – Jesus bled for your sins, not Mary!

God so loved the world that He gave His Son, who yielded His life an
atonement for sin, and opened the Life Gate that all guilty sinners may
go in. Behold, this was the Son of God who did all this for you! After
JESUS died for you, He was buried, and then He rose from the dead. Then
He ascended, and is now seated at the right hand of God. He is alive
right now, and He still gives Himself to those that TRUST HIM. Through
faith in His Precious Blood, Jesus can save you from all the guilt of
your sin, and all the power of your sin, and all the penalty of your sin.
This is the best news that lost sinners have ever heard. Jesus is a
Great Savior for great sinners. He is the answer to your misery.

God is ready to pardon you. He is willing to save you now, if you will
but trust His Son. Christ died for the ungodly and guilty sinner, not
good people. Good people that are self-righteous and trust in themselves
end up in Hell. Simply TRUST CHRIST (rely and depend entirely on what
Jesus did for you) and your sins shall be pardoned. You will be saved
in an instant – when you call upon Jesus’ name. Humble yourself,
send out a ‘distress call’ from your soul to Heaven, and God will save
you by His grace.
If you reject Christ, there is no hope for you, and if you neglect HIM,
you will deliberately and willfully commit spiritual suicide. Believe
the Gospel and live; if you refuse it, you will be damned. Only TRUST
JESUS, fall down at His feet in repentance, confess your sins, and ask
Him to deliver you. Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call upon
Him while HE IS NEAR.

Salvation is free, but it cost God everything. Salvation is the gift of
God’s Grace, but you must seek it, you must call upon God for it. Do
it at once! This is the ‘Message of Mercy’ - God’s free
salvation is offered to lost and guilty sinners. Whosoever believes in Christ
Jesus hath everlasting life. TRUST CHRIST NOW! Trust Him wholly and
fully. Leave your sin, leave your carnal trusts, leave your
self-righteousness, quit it all! Simply RELY upon Christ’s shed blood to save your
soul from the wrath of God. Call upon the name of the LORD. God be
merciful to me a sinner for Jesus’ sake!

A Walk With The Wise Men  (Matthew 2:1-11)

The Bible says in Proverbs 13:20, “He that walketh with 'wise men'
shall be wise.”  Take just a few minutes with me and talk a walk with
the ‘wise men’ through Matthew Chapter Two and see if you can gain
some true wisdom from them.  You won’t be sorry if you follow the wise
men, because they end up at the doorstep of WISDOM Incarnate – the
Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the King that will live forever and ever.  In
these 11 verses, God calls these men WISE.  More than likely they were
from Babylon.  They were highly educated, stargazers, skilled in
science, medicine, math, and philosophy.  They were very influential,
important, and intelligent.  We are not sure exactly how many of them there
were.  But in Proverbs 4:7, the Bible says, “Wisdom is the principal
thing.” We would be wise to follow the wise men’s example.  True
Wisdom can be learned from the wise men.

If they were the Wise women – they would have probably asked for
directions as soon as they left the East, then they would have arrived on
time, probably helped deliver the baby Jesus, cleaned the stable, made a
casserole, and made Jesus a cute set of clothes to wear.  But these
were the wise men, so things were different.
--------
Five lessons about wisdom are found in these verses.
*** LESSON #1
** They Sought after Christ:   First, notice their:

** Diligence (Where is He?)  They had seen the star, they had set out
to find the king, they asked over and over where they could find the
King.  They traveled over 800 miles, through difficult deserts and over
treacherous mountains, amidst bandits and thieves, through the heat,
cold, and rain.  They were highly intelligent, greatly important, and
incredibly wealthy, they could have just stayed in Babylon and waited for
the news to come, but no, they wanted to find Him for themselves, they
went out and searched for Christ with all their heart.  See Jer 29:13;  I
Chron 16:11; Psa 119:10; Hosea 10:12 (It is time to seek the Lord)

The wise men were consumed, focused, diligent in their quest, they
wanted to find Him, they were wise in God’s sight, because they sought
His Son.  They sought to know God.  See Numbers 24:17; Isa 60:3; II Pet
1:19; Rev 2:28; 22:16.  The Star of Jacob led them to the bright and
morning star.

The angel of the Lord came to the Shepherds in Luke 1.  Jesus came to
where they were and led them to Himself.  He will reveal Himself and
make Himself known to you.  Jesus will seek you and manifest himself to
you, right where you are if you only LET HIM.

If you’re an Architect – He’s the firm foundation.
Baker – Bread of life
Doctor – great Physician
Carpenter – chief cornerstone
Geologist – Rock of Ages
Teacher – master teacher
Florist – rose of Sharon, lily of the valleys
Sailor – Anchor
Soldier – Shield, fortress

The wise men’s question was “Where is He?”   Not, could it be?
They had Bible faith, and true faith results in action, obedience, and
worship.

Now notice in Verse 3 – Herod was troubled, he was a wicked and
vicious man.  He was greedy, suspicious, and malicious (the three roots of
selfishness).

Herod wanted no competition for his throne therefore he killed his
wife, he killed his nephew, he killed each of his sons, his mother-in-law,
and his mistress because of his suspicions.

Now, Herod hears that there is born a king of the Jews, but that was
his title.  He is troubled that his kingdom may crumble, and he calls in
the chief priests and scribes, the current day Bible scholars.  They
had the facts and information, but it never got from their head to their
heart.  They quoted Micah 5:2 to Herod and the wise men.

Here in 2007, some of the men that are most knowledgeable in the things
the Bible, take Christ as just a mere subject, He is just information
that they know intellectually, and they don’t realize the whole
purpose of the Bible is so you can know a PERSON, so you can know JESUS, so
you can have a RELATIONSHIP with someone you love, and who loves you,
JESUS wants to save you and change you.

Bethlehem was only five miles south of Jerusalem, but the chief priests
and scribes didn’t take the time to go down to Bethlehem to see if
it was true.  They didn’t want the CHRIST to show up.  They were
content with their religion – they loved with their position, influence,
and money.  The king of the Jews would upset their ‘little kingdom of
religion’.  These religious Jews hear that the Messiah has come from
a group of Gentile wise men.  The chief priests and scribes knew all
the facts in their head, but they had no desire for the Messiah in their
heart.  In this day and time we live in, people have heard the glorious
gospel of Christ and the message of His Second Coming  over and over,
they have the all facts in their head, but they are religiously hard
and complacent, the glorious gospel of Christ is ho-hum, no big deal, the
message that God left heaven and became a man and lived and suffered
in their place is old news, this message puts them to sleep today.  And
if you mention that Jesus may return at any time, they think you’re
ready for a straight jacket and a padded room.

But notice closely, the wise men’s guide to Christ in Verses 5 and 6
(Micah 5:2) – they found Christ through the scripture, they were
hungry for Him, and you will only find Christ in God’s word when you get
sincerely hungry for HIM.

Now notice, the wise men set out again for Bethlehem (Matt 2:9), they
rejoiced with EXCEEDING great joy (Matt 2:10), they were getting close
to seeing Jesus, they longed for Him, they loved Him and they had never
saw Him.  The STAR shows up again and guides them all the way to
Bethlehem to the little house where Jesus lived.  Now understand, sincere
hearts get light from God, and good hearts follow the light they are
given, and honest hearts will come face to face with Jesus Christ.

I wonder what the wise men expected to find there in Bethlehem.  They
had already gone to Jerusalem, they had gone to Herod’s palace, what
were they expecting to find in Bethlehem when they arrived to see the
King of the Jews.  When they arrived, all they found was a small house
(Matt 2:11).  But Jesus’ capital was just an small village, His army
and worshippers were nowhere to be found.  But this child was the Prince
of Peace, He was the Kings of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  They wanted
to know Christ with all their heart.
-----------
*** LESSON #2, the wise men were wise because:
** They Submitted to Christ     Look carefully in Verse 11 – “and
fell down”

The wise men submitted to Christ willingly, they didn’t follow the
crowd, they saw Christ and immediately fell down, they didn’t just bow
their heads, or bend the knee, they didn’t just bow down, THEY FELL
DOWN on the floor with all their high-dollar garb on.  They were in the
dust at the feet of the King of Kings, THEY FELL DOWN.  No one asked
them to fall down, their heart’s adoration immediately caused them to
fall.  This wasn’t just some ‘religious’ exercise; they fell down
on their faces at the feet of the young child.  Mary and Joseph must
have been dumbfounded at this sight.  The wise men didn’t fall down at
the feet of Herod, but when got into the presence of Jesus Christ, they
fell down in holy fear and reverence.

The Christian life is all about submission:  to receive Christ you must
forsake all other trusts and trust absolutely and submit to Christ
Jesus, that is, His precious blood and perfect righteousness, as the ONLY
way to Heaven.  Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth,
and the life.”  The Christian life begins with submission in salvation.

But the second great decision of the Christian life is submission as
well – total surrender.  When you say, “God, it is not about me, I
SUBMIT.  Paul said, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?”  The
Christian is all about submission – God changes the course of your life,
your ambitions and goals.   True revival is casting out the spirit of
worldliness, and self-centeredness, and letting Christ and His love
triumph in your heart.  The wise men, “Jesus, you are our King, we are
under you, and we put ourselves in submission to your will and your way.
Jesus will exalt us when we submit ourselves to Him.

Next, notice that they just didn’t FELL DOWN, but they also
WORSHIPPED HIM.

** LESSON #3 –
** They Worshipped Christ

Jesus was probably about two years old when the wise men arrived.
Notice closely, they did not bow down to Mary, they didn’t worship Mary
as a co-redeemer, they didn’t pray to Mary, notice again what the
Bible says, “and worshipped HIM.”  The Bible says in Acts 4:12,
“Neither Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other
name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
They fell down on their face and worshipped HIM.  Now picture this, the
wise men more than likely had their very best robes on to see the
King, they had their best shoes on, their crowns, their jewelry, and there
in that humble cottage they fall down and worship the Christ child.

These wise men were men of influence, men of prestige, men of
incredible means, and they get down on their faces and worship Him.  Why did
they do that?  Because Christ was more important to them than their
things, they set aside their prestige, their positions, their
accomplishments, and they worshipped CHRIST.  That is what worship is all about.  When
you come to worship Jesus Christ, it is not about the facilities and
the surroundings.  The wise men could have said, “What is this! We
don’t like these surroundings.  Who would live in this kind of
neighborhood? We don’t like these facilities and we don’t like this
environment.”  But you see, the WISE men were not focused on the temporal;
they were looking on the ETERNAL – the CHRIST child.  And when you come
to worship Christ, it is not about you and your comforts – IT’S
ALL ABOUT HIM!  You must lay opinions, prejudices, and agendas down at
HIS FEET.  They honored Christ for who HE IS - GOD.

** These men were wise because they:  Look on in Verse 11 – “they
presented unto HIM gifts.”

*** LESSON #4 –
** They Sacrificed for Christ
Now notice, before they gave Jesus gifts, they had already given Him
THEMSELVES in worship.  Your greatest gift to God is your whole life –
a living sacrifice.  Before God wants to give Him gifts externally, He
wants you to give your self to Him.  They presented Him their best
without reservation.  They said, “You are so worthy, you deserve our very
best!”  They were excited about presenting Christ with gifts.  (See
Proverbs 3:9)  No one begged to do it, this wasn’t proper thing to
do, they realized who Jesus was, and they wanted to give Him their BEST.
Their treasure was now HIS TREASURE.  True worship is when you give
what you ‘treasure’ in this life to Jesus Christ.  We must give our
gifts to the GIVER of all gifts.

Now consider the wise men’s gifts:

* GOLD – this was the gift for kings, it was the most precious and
expensive metal
They were saying with this gift – “You are the King of Kings, you
are King in our lives, we are your servants.”

The second gift was:
* FRANKINCENSE – this was a gift for a priest.  It was a perfume from
a tree.  It was the most expensive of perfumes.  It was what the
priests used in the tabernacle as they offered up prayers, the sweet odors
to the LORD.  Frankincense teaches us that Jesus is our great high
priest.  He makes intercession for us before God the Father daily, and He is
touched with the feeling of our infirmities.  Jesus lived here in this
flesh and in this world of woe just like us.  (See Rom 8:34; Heb 3:1;
4:15; 7:25; 9:24; I John 2:1)  Jesus who understands us is now our High
Priest that represents us continually in the presence of the Father.

Now, notice the third gift:
* MYRRH – This was the gift for the suffering or dying.  It was an
antiseptic that was used for embalming purposes.  It was the most
expensive of herbs.  Now doesn’t this seem strange as a gift to a baby.  It
would be like if you had a baby shower for someone, and you brought a
casket, a funeral wreath, and some embalming fluid as a gift.   They
brought myrrh to Jesus – embalming fluid.  But Jesus was born to die –
the whole purpose that Jesus came into the world was to die for
sinners and rescue them from destruction.  You are here to die for us, thank
you Lord.

There is no better sacrifice than we can make, than when we sacrifice
for Christ.

*** LESSON #5 –
** They Showed Others Christ

All the people in the New Testament that met Jesus Christ
‘spiritually’ could not contain themselves, they had to make Him known to
others.  In Luke 2, the Shepherds came with haste, and found Mary, and
Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.  And when they had seen it, they made
known abroad the saying which was told them concerning the child.
They had to go tell everyone.  And the shepherds returned, glorifying and
praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was
told unto them.  John wrote in I John 1:3, “That which we have seen
and heard DECLARE we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with
us:  and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus
Christ.”  John wanted others to have the fellowship with God and
Jesus Christ that he so freely enjoyed.

In Matthew 2:10 , the wise men rejoiced with exceeding great joy, they
had double joy, they were jumping up and down, doing laps, high-fiving,
running, shouting, when they saw the STAR.  But when they met CHRIST,
they could not contain themselves.  When they met Christ, it changed
their lives, it changed their heart, and it changed their speech, they
could not help but tell someone about Him.

This fact is true throughout the gospels:  Andrew could not contain
himself after He met the Messiah, he went and found Peter brought Him to
Jesus.  (John 1:40-42)  Shortly after Paul’s conversion, Paul preached
Christ straightway in the synagogues, that He was the Son of God.
(Acts 9:20)  Jesus saved the maniac of Gadara from the devils that
possessed him, and the Bible says, “He departed, and began to publish in
Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did
marvel.” (Mk 5:20)  The Leper that was healed by Jesus went out, and began to
publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter.” (Mark 1:45)  The
two blind men that were healed in Matthew 9, right after their eyes were
opened, they departed, and spread abroad Jesus’ fame in all that
country.” (Matt 9:30)  In Mark 1, Right after the man filled with the
unclean spirit was healed the people that witnessed this happen
immediately spread Jesus’ fame abroad throughout all the region.  Shortly
after the woman of Samaria met Jesus at the well, she left her waterpot,
and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man,
which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? (John
4:28-29)  No one that ever met the Savior, could keep their mouth shut
about Him.

When people meet God with the hearts, they go “ANOTHER WAY.”  (Matt
2:12) The wise men didn’t obey what Herod said, they obeyed the
warning from God, departed and went to spread the message of the Great King
of the Jews to their own country.

The church today needs some wise men and wise ladies that will seek,
submit, worship, sacrifice, and show others Christ.  Will you be His
helper other lives to bring?  Will you leave the world’s side and seek
the ones for whom He died?  Those that would be good must keep good
company.  The company you keep will determine your character.  Walk with the
‘wise men’ and your life will show it.

These are the precious words that divide God's 'sound doctrine' from
Satan's damnable heresies:  meditate on them, learn them, teach them, and
preach them.  Hold fast the faithful word as you have been taught,
that you may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the
gainsayers. -Brother Jeff

  Let thine heart retain My words. (Prov 4:4)  My son, attend to My words;
incline thine ear unto My sayings. (Prov 4:20)  All the words of My

(Prov 8:8)  The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they
are life.  (John 6:63)  Nourished up in the words of faith and of good
doctrine. (I Tim 4:6) Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my
soul keep them. (Psa 119:129) Never man spake like this man. (John

Season. Please see attached. Have a good day.

Are You Trying to Earn 'The Gift'?

Imagine that you’ve prepared a wonderful Christmas morning for your
family.  You’ve saved up all year, shopped, wrapped, decorated, and
made all the preparations.  In spite of all your efforts, your children
come running downstairs eager to celebrate Christmas, but rather than
sitting down to open their gifts, they begin feverishly doing things for
you to earn their gifts.  They start cleaning the garage, washing the
cars, doing the dishes, vacuuming the house, ironing clothes, and
whatever else they can find to do.  Other than having a heart attack, you
would probably be disappointed.  You would stop them and ask, “Kids,
what are you doing? It’s Christmas morning, this isn’t the time for
good works; this is the time for receiving gifts!”

Suppose their response goes something like this, “Mom and Dad,
we’ve realized that we don’t deserve your gifts to us, and so we’ve
decided to earn them. We’ve decided to serve you and do things so that
we can deserve your kindness.” What would you do? You would probably
explain that this is totally unnecessary! You would tell your kids how
much trouble you’ve gone to in saving, shopping, and purchasing their
gifts. You don’t want their service (at least not yet) so much as you
just want to enjoy Christmas morning and present them with their gifts
– your free expression of love to them.

This is the ‘Gospel Message’ from God to the sinful human race. God
became a Man – His name was Jesus Christ. He lived a sinless life,
suffered, bled, and died to suffer the wrath of God that your sin
deserved. He rose again the third day and is alive right now and is willing
to save you by His grace alone, without any of your works added. As long
as you are busying and worrying yourself with DOING, you’re missing
what God has already DONE for you through His Precious Son – the Lord
Jesus Christ.

The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the 'gift of God'
is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Rom 6:23) The gift
of eternal life has been worked out through Christ’s sinless life,
and purchased by Christ’s shed blood on the Cross. There’s no need
for you to DO anything more, but to just trust Christ Himself (His doings
and sufferings) to save you from your sins. You must only receive
Christ’s Free Gift of Salvation.

This gift of salvation is free to you, but it cost God His only
begotten Son. All the work and preparations have been made for you. Christ
paid it ALL, there’s nothing for you to pay for, nothing at all. Stop
trying and just TRUST HIM with your soul. God says, “Come now, let us
reason together, saith the LORD.” His invitation to you is not to DO
for Him, but rather simply come to Him as a helpless, hopeless, and
guilty sinner. Christ died for the ungodly, not for good, self-righteous
people. Christ Crucified is the sinner’s only hope. This is the sole
remedy for your disease of sin—TRUST Jesus alone! Christ only receives
lost and needy sinners.

There Christ hangs bleeding on yonder Cross for you. Jesus bled for
your sins. Look to the Cross, look there, only there! Bring as many sins
as you can with you to the Cross – the more the better. No measure of
sin in your past can deprive from the gift of salvation. Jesus delights
in saving the sinful. Just Trust Him! Forsake all other carnal and
religious trusts, and look only to the Lamb of God and His bleeding
wounds. Jesus is the Substitute for guilty sinners: He suffered in your
place. Look your doubts and sins away at the foot of the Cross. Right now,
stop working and worrying, and simply Trust and Live. Salvation is not
received by you giving anything to Christ, but salvation comes to your
soul by Christ giving you EVERYTHING. Abandon your own goodness.

Jesus will never be a partial Savior. Take Christ (the gift of God) to
be the sole Savior of your soul! You must believe completely on the
Lord Jesus Christ to enter Heaven. Only Christ’s Perfect Righteousness
and Precious Blood can save you from sin, death, and Hell. “Believe
on” means an unreserved transfer of trust from oneself to the Lord
Jesus Christ. The faith that saves is not believing certain Truths of
Christ, nor believing that Jesus is a Savior – but it is resting on Him,
depending on Him, lying with all your soul’s weight on Christ as the
sole foundation of your eternal hope. Believe that Christ can and will
save you! Leave the whole matter of your salvation with Christ alone in
absolute confidence. Christ is the only Propitiation for your sin: He
is only One that can appease the wrath of God that abides on you because
of your sin against God. Christ gave Himself for you. God be merciful
to me a sinner, and save me 'now' by Christ’s precious blood alone!

--- Help Me to Remember ---

Dear God, when I read my Bible,
help me to remember those who don’t have a copy of Your word.

When I realize my sins are forgiven,
help me to remember the Lamb of God who died on Calvary,
and those that are still lost in their sins.

When I have food,
help me to remember those that are hungry and starving.

When I am enjoying my freedoms,
help me to remember those who have died and are dying now
on foreign fields to keep my country free.

When I have work,
help me to remember the jobless.

When I have money,
help me to remember those that are broke and struggling financially.

When I have a warm home,
help me to remember the homeless.

When I have health and am without pain,
help to remember those who are sick and suffering.

When I am surrounded by family and Christian friends;
help me to remember those who are all alone.

Dear Lord Jesus, when I do remember, help me, and
take away my vanity and self-absorptiion,
And stir up my heart give me Your compassion for others.

Fill me with Your love and make me concerned enough
to help the longing soul, by word and deed,
and comfort those who are crying out for what I take for granted.

Some words to muse:  Genesis 40:23; Psalm 136:23; Deut 8:18; Deut
24:18; Psa 20:7; Psa 137:6; Acts 20:35; Gal 2:10; Heb 13:3

And be ye thankful.  Psa 100:4; Romans 1:21; Col 3:15; Psa 119:86b

"What it All Boils Down To..." is a common phrase that people use at
times
when they want to summarize an important issue.  The most important
issue in
your life is where you are going when you die.  Most people today are
either
lost in the woods of religious baloney or this world's mumbo jumbo, and
they
never obtain what their soul truly needs to prepare for them life and
death.
The one thing your soul NEEDS while you're still breathing and when
you're
dying is the 'forgiveness of sins and eternal life.'

Please answer these questions:  Where are your sins right now?  Are
they on
your soul or on Jesus Christ?  Dear friend, this is "What It All Boils
Down
To..."  The Gospel Message of the Bible wreaks in the nostrils of a
self-righteous man, because he is a rebel and is trying his best to
save
himself his own way.  The Gospel Message of the Bible states that man
is a
sinner with no hope and that he is 'absolutely no good' at all, and the

sinner's only hope is the Righteousness and Precious Blood of God's
Son.
Religion today modifies the Gospel Message to suit their listeners.
  This
gospel tract will not try to make the Gospel Message acceptable to you,
but
only make it available - it will not try to make sure that you 'like'
the
Gospel Message, only that you get it.

You have an appointment with God Almighty, a date with Deity.   God has

appointed a day, when you will die and face Him.  It is appointed unto
men
once to die, but after this the judgment. (Heb 9:27)  You will abide by

God's Calendar, not yours.  This appointment must be kept; it cannot be

postponed or cancelled.  You cannot dodge this one.  You have today,
the
present moment at least, and the day you die and face God is bound to
come.
If you want to go to Hell, God will let you.  God has granted to every
man
the power of choice (free will) as to what he shall do with His Son
Jesus
Christ.  Every sinner will make a decision for or against Christ before
he
dies and faces God.  It is impossible to do nothing with Jesus Christ.
  Not
to decide for Him is to decide against Him, but decide you must.  Your
choice about Jesus Christ will settle your destiny in time and
eternity.

There are many distractions in this world today.  The devil and his
world
system are trying their hardest to keep religion or the things of this
world
between your soul and the Lord Jesus Christ (i.e., sinful amusements,
carnal
ambitions, cares of this world, love of money, addictions, lust of the
flesh
and eyes, and the pride of life).

Dear Friend, here's what it all boils down to:  You need a 'Mediator'
to
come between your soul and God Almighty.  The reason you need a
Mediator is
because your personal sins (thoughts, words, and deeds) against the Law
of
God and your past rejection of God's Son as your Savior have incited
and
provoked the wrath of God towards you.  Your main problem and danger is
your
sin against God.  Until you get scared of your sin and where it will
take
you in this life and when you die, you will never be saved from it.
  Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and they are the only people
He
does save.  It takes a man longer to 'come to himself' and admit he has
a
SIN problem, that anything else.  You need a Mediator to pacify God's
wrath
toward you.  The Bible says, our God is a consuming fire, and only
Christ's
blood can extinguish the fire of God's wrath on your sin.

First, you must realize that your sin is against God Himself and you
are at
enmity with God and under the curse of God's law.  One sin is all is
takes
to damn your soul to hell.  All unrighteousness is sin.  Your rebellion

against God's word and will has made you God's enemy.  God wants to
save
you, you know this because He cared enough to send a Mediator to save
you
from your sin.  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God.
Second, you must believe that God the Creator became a Man and that
that man
is the 'Mediator' (the Lord Jesus).  He lived a sinless life in
thought,
word, and deed; and then suffered your sin's due punishment in your
stead.
Third, you must acknowledge that the Lord Jesus' doings and sufferings
are
all that is needed to save you from the wrath of God.  You need a
Mediator
for your sin problem; and you must trust in Christ alone as your
Mediator.
This is not Christ plus something else (such as your good works,
religion,
Mary, the saints, or anything else).  When ONLY Christ and His blood
comes
between your soul and God to protect you, you are safe forever.  Christ
will
not Mediate for you, unless you trust Him ALONE.  You cannot help save
yourself at all, so stop trying.  You must humble yourself, confess
that
you're hell-bound and under the wrath of God.  Flee from your own
doings and
Seek and Trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.  Simply ask Christ

Jesus to 'mediate' between you and God.  He is the only Middle Man that
can
save you.  Just let Christ and His finished work 'alone' mediate for
you.
Turn your case entirely over to Him.  Christ will win your case for you
and
face the Righteous Judge for you.  Christ's precious blood and
righteousness
(sinless perfection) is the only thing that will appease God's wrath
and
grant your soul peace, forgiveness of sins, and eternal life.  Christ
must
get ALL the glory for your soul's salvation.

You must die and face God; there is no escaping death.  Come to Christ
now
and leave your sin problem with Him.  Trust your soul's eternal safety
with
Him alone.  You have a serious quarrel with God, but Christ's pardoning

blood can take away the anger of God.  Let Jesus reconcile you to God
now.
The reason for the feud between you and God is your sin and sinfulness,
and
only Christ's heart-blood can settle this feud. There is one Mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (I Tim 2:5)  God became a
Man and
died in your place, if you refuse this Sacrifice, it only means endless
war
with God.  That is what it comes to.  If you will not have Christ as
your
Savior, you are arming yourself for an eternal conflict and fight with
your
Maker.   You are rejecting your soul's only hope and peace when you
reject
Christ.  You are choosing war with the LORD and eternal damnation.
  Please
repent at once of your insance choice.  He that believeth not shall be
damned.

Rest your soul's salvation and safety solely on the PERSON that loved
you
enough to die for you.  Your guilty conscience will never stop accusing
you
until the Precious Blood of Christ is applied to your soul and
conscience by
simple faith and trust.  Christ Jesus was the Victim provided by God to

suffer for your sin.  Jesus Christ is the Sacrifice that God demands
for
your sins.  What will you do with Christ?  Receive Him or Reject Him?
  Trust
Christ today, simply ask Christ to Mediate between your soul and God
and be
saved today.  Only Christ's blood and shield you from the holiness and
justice of God.  Plead Christ's Precious Blood now and your soul will
be at
peace with God.

First, you must realize that your sin is against God Himself and you

Time is running out, death is pursuing you, stop procrastinating.  Rest
your

The is what everyone needs to know.  Just like the saved maniac of
Gadara,
go out, publish it much, and blaze about 'the matter.'  Have a good
weekend.
  -Brother Jeff

The Truth of the Matter is... This is a common expression used to
capture
your hearer's attention when you are trying to make known the heart of
an
important issue.  Well, The Truth of the Matter Is... people living in
this
'temporary world' are looking for satisfaction and longing for true
peace
for their minds and souls.  God hid this true peace at a dark,
shameful,
bloody place called Calvary where God Himself as a Man died for man's
sin.
Please read this short message as it may help you to understand the
truth of
the Gospel.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  This one verse sums up the entire
Bible, the need of man, and the provision of God.  It is all you need
to
know about God's plan of redemption for sinners.  This one sentence
contains
enough to save every believing soul and to enough to damn every
unbelieving
soul on earth.  This sentence contains three great truths:  Sin brings
Death, Salvation is only through Christ, and Salvation is the free gift
to
God to whosoever will come.

** Sin brings death to the soul of man. **
The wages of sin is still death here in the 21st century. It brings
physical
death, mental death, moral death, spiritual death, and if you die in
your
sins - the second death.  It is death to character, to personality, to
ambition, to reputation, to love, to influence, to homes, to
businesses, to
schools, to churches, to villages, to cities, to states, to nations, to
the
whole world.

It is universal death.  For the Jew, Gentile, the man, the woman, the
child,
"the soul that sinneth, it shall die."  There is no escape from death.

There is no denying it, no defying it, no hiding from it.  Death's
germs are
everywhere.  The germs are in our bodies, in the air we breathe, in the

water we drink, and the food we eat.  The whole universe is under the
curse
of sin, the condemnation, the consequences of sin, which is death.  The
rich
man's riches cannot overcome it.  All the schemes, programs,
organizations,
and proposals of man can never mitigate this fearful fact.

It is inescapable death. Death is wherever men gather.  Civilization or

crudeness, brilliancy or barbarism can never stem or stop death.  There
are
funerals held in the heart of the jungles of Africa to the east side of

Manhattan, NY.  There is no escape, there is no exemption.  Death
cannot be
bought off, reasoned off, or pushed off.  The inevitability of death
must be
pressed upon the minds of sinners, so they will flee to Christ for
safety.

Sin is eternal death, the second death, the bottomless pit of burning,
the
everlasting lake of fire.  This is the true and final consequence of
sin.
There is an eternal, burning, tormenting hell awaiting sinners that
reject
Christ and die in their sins.  It is a place of banishment from the
presence
of God, a place of ceaseless, hopeless, helpless remorse waiting for
all
those who die with their sins unconfessed and unforgiven.  This is the
decree of God, the dictum of eternity, and the declaration of the ages.

But there is a way of escape from the curse, from the condemnation,
from the
doom, from the damnation of sin.  It is the Bible way, the Gospel way,
the
way of the Cross, the way of the Blood, the way of Calvary.  It cost
God all
that He was and all that He had, but He offers it 'freely' to the
children
of men.

** Salvation is through Jesus Christ **  In Christ there is absolute,
total,
eternal, effective salvation for every soul to the uttermost part of
the
earth.  The Bible gives three foundations, three certainties concerning
the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus.  They are all based on the person
and
work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

First, Jesus came to save.  Jesus Himself, said, "For even the Son of
man
came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a

ransom for many."  "The Son of man is come to seek and to save that
which
was lost."  God said about Him, "Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He

shall save His people from their sins."  That was His mission and
ministry.
For that, Christ left His home and throne in Heaven.  For that, He took
upon
Himself the likeness of men.  For that, He humbled Himself in the
carpenter's shop of Nazareth.  For that mission, He humbled Himself to
the
fare of the poor, denying Himself even the bare comforts of a home and
an
affectionate family.  For that, He preached the word of God, healed the

sick, cleansed the lepers, and raised the dead.  For that, He prayed
through
the lonely nights with the weight of the world's woes upon Him.  For
that,
He wept over Jerusalem.  For that, He sweated blood in the dark Garden
of
Gethsemane
.  For that, He died on the Cross.  Yes, there is salvation
for
every one of you because Jesus Christ came to save.

** He died to save.   Christ bled out His life on Calvary's Cross for
the
ungodly and for His enemies. In His own precious body, on Calvary's
bitter
tree, He bore the sins of every soul among us.  "He was made to be sin
for
us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in
Him."
"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a
curse for
us, for it written, Cursed is every one which hangeth on a tree."  "For
as
much as ye know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as
silver and gold; ... but with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb
without blemish and without spot."  "All we like sheep have gone
astray; we
have turned everyone to his own; but the Lord hath laid on Him the
iniquity
of us all."  These Bible verses make it plain that Christ, the Son of
God,
died for our sins, died to save us.  The blood of Jesus that was poured
out
on Calvary's cross ties the hands of God in two ways:  God cannot save
any
sinner outside of Christ's blood; and He must save every sinner who
comes to
Christ claiming the blood atonement.

** Jesus lives to save.  Were the cross the end of the life of the
Savior,
were Joseph's tomb still sealed with the grip of death and the grave,
our
salvation would be a matter of deep doubt, of bitter misgivings.  We
could
not be sure of the virgin birth of Jesus, of His sinless life, of His
matchless teachings, of His mighty works, of His healing, saving,
keeping
power.  The foundations of our faith are laid in the verity of the
resurrection, ascension, and intercession of the Redeemer.  The
crucified
Son of God did rise from the dead, He did go back to His Father in
glory,
that in and through the Holy Spirit He has been changing the destinies
of
souls, of nations, of the world.  By faith in His shed blood we all can

experience a personal, definite, dependable indwelling of the living
Christ.
He walks with us, talks with us, guides us, sustains us, empowers us,

enlightens us, ennobles us, enables us, in short, saves us from the
drag,
the drain, the drought of the slavery of this world into the joy and
fellowship with and service in God.

"Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto
God
by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them."  "For
there is
one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
Who
gave himself a ransom for all." "Jesus saith, I am the way, the truth,
and
the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." "Neither is there
salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given

among men, whereby we must be saved." "Neither is there any daysman
betwixt
us, that might lay his hand upon us both."  Yes, there is salvation for
you
because Jesus lives to save.

** Salvation is the 'free gift' of God's love **
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his

mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the
Holy
Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our
Saviour.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is
the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." "Who hath
saved
us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but

according to His own purpose and grace."

** Salvation is free because it is priceless, beyond human value and
computation. **
There is nothing man knows with which this salvation may be compared.

Salvation is free because it is has paid for, paid in full with God's
own
blood.  It was paid for in the humbling of the Son of God, when He
stripped
Himself of His heavenly glory to come down upon the sin-cursed earth to
live
the life of a Galilean peasant Jew.  Jesus came in the backdoor of this

world (a manger in Bethlehem), so sinners could walk through the front
door
of Heaven freely forgiven.  Christ left His Father's throne above, so
free,
so inifinite His grace; He emptied Himself of all but Love, and bled
for
Adam's helpless race.  Salvation was paid for in the blood-sweat of
Gethsemane.  It was paid for in the scourging of the Roman injustice.
  It
was paid for in the loneliness, in the shame, in the heartache, in the
heartbreak, in the blood-letting, in the blood-shedding of Calvary's
cross.
God cannot, God has not, God will not, and God does not require any
price
from us poor sinners save the coin of repentance and faith.

** Salvation is free because it is offered freely to whomsoever will
come
and take it. **  The Bible is very definite on that point.  In many
places,
in many ways, in precept and in parable, the Holy-Spirit-breathed
Scriptures
offer the blood of Christ, the bread and the water of life, very freely
to
all comers.  For 2,000 years this free salvation has been offered to
the
children of men of every clime, country, condition, race, have found
their
way to the Fountain, even blood-stained Calvary, and have drunk deeply
and
freely of the flowing blood and water to their own pardon and eternal
joy.

The Holy Spirit invites you to Christ's salvation now.  Every saving
promise
of scripture, every urgent appeal, every wonderful, tenderly wooing
word
that He can invent urges upon you to come and be saved, to come fleeing
from
the wrath to come, to come to escape from the wages of your sin.

You are standing at the cross-roads of life and death.  On the one
hand, the
Lord is tugging at your heart, pulling at your soul, offering you the
blood
of Christ Jesus for the free pardon of your sins.  On the other hand,
Satan
is striving with all his hellish power to keep you from receiving the
Gospel
invitation to come to Christ.  The decision is yours.  It is either the

wages of sin or the gift of God.  It is either Christ or Satan, God or
sin,
salvation or damnation, life or death, Heaven or hell.  Your personal
decision will make the difference.  The devil will not let you go
without a
struggle.  You must turn and tear loose from his grip by an act of your

WILL.  You must step over the line to the Savior.  Will you come now?
  God
Himself, for Christ's sake, will do all the rest, if you will come as a
lost
and needy sinner, accepting the 'free gift' of His love, even eternal
life
through Jesus Christ.  God will save your soul, if you will just 'let'
Him.
Let Jesus Himself reach down from Heaven and with His own heart's blood
wash
away your sins, and He will make you a child of God today.

Do you know what is so difficult about salvation?  The hardest thing
about
salvation is realizing that you NEED it.  The most difficult thing
about
salvation is realizing you can't save or 'help save' yourself.  "As
cold
waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country." (Prov
25:25)
The good news about salvation is that Someone else did everything for
you
out of love, and that you only have to receive Salvation Freely by
faith,
without your own works playing a part in it at all.  "And let him that
is
athirst come.  And whosoever will, let him take the water of life
freely."
(Rev 22:17)

There is only one religion in this world that demands 'sinless
perfection.'
It is isn't Islam, it isn't Buddhism, it isn't Hinduism, it isn't
Taoism, it
isn't Catholism, it isn't Atheism.  No religion demands sinless
perfection
as the key to heaven except 'Biblical Christianity.'  It's the only
one.
All the other religions have very low standards.

All other religions have exceptionally inferior standards.  "For they
being
ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish 'their
own
righteousness,' have not 'submitted' themselves unto the 'righteousness
of
God.'  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one
that
believeth." (Rom 10:3-4) The word "BELIEVE" in the New Testament means
to
entirely trust in, absolutely rely on, to solely rest on, completely
lean
on, totally depend upon, or wholeheartedly count on). Be honest with
your
own soul:  Have you ever truly 'believed' in the Blood of Christ to
wash
away your sins.  No other religion is set up like Biblical
Christianity.
Every other one is man's religions and tradition trying to tell you,
"If you
do this, and do this, and don't do this, and don't do that, and hold
out to
the end, you 'MIGHT' make it.  Relgion will always try to get you trust
in
it, or try to get you to trust in yourself, never in Christ Jesus
alone.
The Bible says, "If you do this and this and this, and don't this and
don't
do that, you'll still go to hell like a bullet.  All your do's and
don'ts do
make any difference, you have sinned and you are dead in sins, and your

so-called good works are called 'dead works' in the scriptures.  They
are
called 'dead works' because a dead person is doing them.  You need
'life'
from the Lord Jesus Christ FIRST, and then He will give you the power
to do
'living works' for His glory alone.

Religion will tell you, "If you just do this and do this, and don't do
that,
you might get to heaven.  But the Bible says, "Do all you can, and stop
all
you can, and you'll still end up in hell.  Do you know what the Bible
demands for you to get to heaven?  Perfect Sinlessness.  You say, "I
can't
make it then."  I gathered you'd think that.  You're right.  Do you
know who
made it for you?  Only one, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Do you see how
simple
that thing is?  All God demands from you is absolute sinless
perfection,
that's all He demands.  And since 'you' can't do it, God will give
Christ's
Righteousness to you, if you will only humble yourself, admit your
sinful
condition, acknowledge you cannot attain to the sinless perfection that
God
demands, and then simply receive Christ's righteousness (absolute
sinless
perfection) as a gift.  Simply put, just trade your rags (dead works)
for
Christ's riches (perfect righteousness).

The Gospel of God says, "Since you can't do this and can't do that; and

should've done this and didn't do it; if you've done this, and messed
up and
didn't do that; and rebelled and did this; and was lazy and didn't do
that.
Dear Sinner, If you truly realize that you are a sinner, and that can't
do
the right thing at all to save your own soul, here's the good news:  I
have
sent Someone into the world 2,000 years ago, that did the whole thing
for
you, and attained the Sinless Perfection (Righteousness) your soul
needs to
face a holy God, and if you will only trust (totally depend) in Him and
take
Christ's Righteousness (absolute sinless perfection) as a free gift, I
will
save you by My grace.  God says, You must receive Christ's
Righteousness as
a free gift, OR ELSE.  Jesus said, "He that believeth on the Son 'hath'

everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life;
but
the 'wrath of God' abideth on him." Salvation is that simple.

Salvation is as easy as taking a drink of water.  You can be saved just
as
easy as bending over at a water fountain and taking a drink.  Your
thirst
draws you to the fountain.  You then bend over (humble yourself) and
swallow
(receive the water freely) and your thirst is quenched.  It is the same
with
your soul.  Your soul is thirsty because of your sin, and only the
water of
life (the Lord Jesus Christ Himself) can take away your sin and satisfy
your
soul's thirst.  Isn't that easy?  It's SO easy.  Come to the water of
life
(the Lord Jesus Christ) and drink, yea, drink abundantly right now.
  Jesus
said Himself, "I will 'give' unto him that is 'athirst' of the fountain
of
the water of life freely."

There are many types of insurance that people spend thousands of their
hard-earned dollars on each year, here are just a few:  health, life,
homeowners, car, boat, dental, disability, flood, renter's, long-term
care,
liability, pet, and the list goes on and on.  America's insurance
industry
pays out an average of $55B in claims annually and averages $40B in
profits
each year, and the industry currently has a surplus of over $420B.
  You've
heard these sales slogans many times:  Like a good neighbor, State Farm
is
there.  You're in good hands with Allstate.  Geico - So easy, a caveman

could do it.  Men and women want security and they fear the worst
happening
to their bodies and properties, so to calm their fears they purchase
insurance.  But there is one type of insurance that is the most
important,
but the majority of people neglect to obtain it, and that is 'Soul
Insurance.'

Your soul is worth more than the entire world.  Jesus said this, “For
what
shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his
own
soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark
8:36-37)
Death is unavoidable.  You cannot, you will not, escape it.  Death is
lurking everywhere.  There is just the stroke of the clock between you
and
death – No man knows that hour.  You have sinned against God and His
law by
lying, cheating, lusting, blaspheming, evil thoughts, pride, and
rejecting
Christ.  Sin against God’s law and rejection of His Son has stirred
up God’s
wrath toward you.  (John 3:36)  Sin brings death to your soul, and
sooner or
later, you will die physically.  Then, you will certainly need your
soul
insured to protect it from the wrath and justice of God.  Soul
Insurance
cannot be purchased or earned; it can only be received freely.  Christ
Jesus
is the ‘only’ insurance agent for the souls of men.   Your soul
needs
coverage just like your car and house.  But your soul must be covered
in
Jesus’ blood to protect you from God’s wrath on your sin.  You have
to deal
with Christ Jesus personally, and come to Him on His terms – as a
lost
sinner in need of forgiveness of sins.  The Heavenly Insurance Agent is

knocking at your heart’s door today, and He wants to give you your
soul
insurance absolutely free:  Jesus paid it all for you.  Jesus doesn’t
sell
His insurance to anyone, He only give it away to needy sinners.

Basically, man is a sinner.  He does not always want to admit this, be
he is
regardless of how many good works or good deeds he performs, he can do
nothing about his sinful 'nature.'  You sin nature causes you to sin.
  You
need a new nature – ye must be born again.  You may be a fine,
respectable
citizen contributing to the welfare of your community.  Morally, you
may be
one of the best people in your community.  You may give more money than

anyone else to charities or even to your church.  In themselves, these
deeds
are well and good, but they cannot prepare you for death, because the
Bible
says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory
of
God."  Because you haven't received Christ Jesus into your body and
soul, in
the sight of God, you are eternally lost in your sins.  You are lost to
God
and eternity.  This is why you need to be saved.  (John 3:36; Titus
3:5)
Regardless of how many good deeds you have done, you still haven't
dealt
with your sinful 'nature.'

The truth is briefly this:  Man is a sinner whether religious or
otherwise.
In the Second Chapter of Ephesians, the Bible says, a lost sinner is a
child
of wrath and dead in trespasses and sin.  His good works cannot blot
out his
past, present, or future sins.  He must trust in the living Christ who
lived, died, was buried, rose again the third day, ascended into heaven
and
sat down at the right hand of God, and is now interceding to God.  In
Ecclesiastes 1:15, God says, "that which is crooked cannot be made
straight."  Now matter how hard you try, regardless of what you do, you
by
your own efforts cannot change your 'sinful nature' and bring yourself
back
into fellowship with God Almighty.  Only the Lord Jesus Christ the
Savior,
can save.  Jesus still saves lost sinners that need Him and trust Him
alone
to save them hell fire.  Jesus' shed His blood on the Cross of Calvary
for
'your' sins.

You must trust in another kind of righteousness that is not your own,
that
is, the righteousness of God that is given to the sinner by grace the
very
second He trusts and relies wholly on Christ to save Him from the lake
of
fire.  Jesus Christ worked out a perfect righteousness for you.  Jesus
lived
a sinless life and obeyed the law perfectly for you, so you could be
saved
freely.  You must turn over your filthy rags of self-righteousness to
Jesus,
and He will provide freely and put on your soul His robe of
righteousness
which you need so desperately to save you from the wrath of God.  For
some
people it is not badness, but goodness that keeps them from the Savior.

They are trying to be good, they are sincerely trying to do the right
thing
in life, but they are ignoring and rejecting Christ Jesus, the apple of

God's eye.  Nothing could be more hopeless and confusing than this for
a
sinner is not saved by trying, but simply trusting in Jesus' blood and
receiving His righteousness.  Trusting only in Jesus that said, "Come
unto
me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest.” (Matt
11:28; Romans 10:3-4)  Have you received Christ?  Are you saved from
your
sin and its penalty?  Don't trust in your own good works, trust in
Christ
who was perfectly good and died for you.  Let Christ Jesus be your
righteousness now.

The gospel of the grace of God has to do with a Person, the only one
who
showed up on this earth and lived a sinless life, and bore your sins in
His
body, and He is the One who made you – your Creator.  His name is the
Lord
Jesus Christ.  The name JESUS means Jehovah Saves.  Jehovah came down
to
this earth in the likeness of a man and dwelt in flesh and bones.
  Jesus
Christ was the God-man.

The righteousness of God is revealed to man through the gospel (good
news)
of Christ.  Religion will damn you quicker than anything else on this
earth.
Religion has to do with your self-righteousness.  You will need God's

Righteousness to enter Heaven; Jesus Christ is God’s righteousness.
  You
will end up in hell if you think that you’re good enough without
Jesus
Christ.  Please stop playing with your soul and toying around with your

eternal destiny.  You will end up in one of two places when you die:
  New
Jerusalem or the lake of fire.  Where you are heading?  What is keeping
you
away from coming to Christ and embracing Him with all your heart?
  Religion
keeps many people away.  But remember this; religion will get you to
hell
quicker than anything.

This is the message that makes human nature furious with true Biblical
Christianity.  This is why Biblical Christianity is hated and avoided
by
every major religion in the world, because real Biblical Christianity
has to
do with a PERSON, and not a religious system.  It has to do with a
PERSON
who is God’s righteousness.  An unsaved man will not admit his
inability to
save himself.  He will not acknowledge he is incapable of getting
himself to
heaven.  He is convinced 'his way' is right.  (John 14:6; Prov 12:15;
14:12;
16:25; 21:2)  Man loves a 'do it yourself' religion.  Human nature is
bent
on doing something to save itself.  Men look for, or make up a
‘god’ in
their own mind that will match their sinful and godless lifestyle.  But
your
conscience will still convict and warn you of the danger your soul is
in
until you come humbly to Christ as a sinner and receive Him.

The truth concerning the righteousness of God is what makes every
self-righteous person in the world ‘scared to death’ of New
Testament
Biblical salvation.  A religious man will have no part in it.  They
will not
take a religion where they cannot play a part.   They will always take
a
religion where their ‘works’ count for something, but in the gospel
of the
grace of God, your works count for nothing.  All our righteousnesses
are as
filthy rags. (Isa 64:6)  Verily every man at his 'best state' is
altogether
vanity.  (Psa 39:5) Religion and self-righteousness will clothe you
with
filthy rags every time.  God gives every man enough faith to be saved.
  You
either will or you won’t.  It has to do with your WILL.  If you wind
up in
hell, no one will be responsible but you.  If you burn forever, it will
be
your fault, not your friends and relatives or the hypocrites down at
the
church.

Christ Jesus paid for your Soul Insurance in full with His own life's
blood.
The rich and free grace of God is available to you now.  God saves
sinners
freely, wholly and alone by the blood of Jesus, without any work done
by
man.   God's love was why Jesus Christ was sent into this world to
bleed and
die for sinners.  Only Jesus Christ's blood can stop the cries of
divine
justice for you.  Salvation is free to sinners, but it cost God dearly
- it
cost Him the heart-blood of His Dear Son.

If you would receive Christ, and not be rejected by Him, you must come
to
Him as a lost and needy sinner.  If you reject or neglect Christ, you
will
murder your own soul.  You will in fact commit soul suicide.  Jesus
said,
“If ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.” (John
8:21,24)
If you mess around and die in your sins without Christ, God’s justice
will
not spare you, and the law of God will damn you.

Come to Calvary’s cross where Jesus bled for your sins.  Look up into
the
agonizing face of Christ; listen to His cries, see the blood dripping
from
His broken, blood-stained body for your sins.  That is the price God
paid to
redeem you from your sins.  Salvation is free, but it is not cheap.
  When
God nailed His Son to the Cross to pay for your transgressions, God
gave the
very best He had to give – His Precious Son.

You are still alive and in the time of grace.  You are yet in a savable

condition.  The nail-scarred hands of God are stretched out to you.
  The
blood of Christ is available to you now.  The Holy Spirit still invites
you
to come to Christ.  You can be saved right now and have eternal life.
  The
matter is in your hands.  Please don’t murder your own soul.  Your
soul
needs eternal coverage.  You have many other kinds of insurance, please

receive your soul’s insurance before death comes for you.  God has
done all
He can do.  Christ has done His part; and He done it perfectly.  The
Holy
Spirit is pleading for your soul with all His might.  The answer is
yours.
Will it be sin or salvation?  Will it be Satan or the Savior?  Will it
be
God or the curse of sin?  Will it be life or death?  Will it be heaven
or
hell?  Neglect is refusal.  Neglect is rejection and defiance.  Neglect
of
Christ is destruction, death, and hell.  This moment may determine your

eternity.  Will you repent of your sins, and put your trust solely in
Christ
to save you from hell?  Indecision is the most subtle trap of Satan.
  Choose
Christ Jesus today, Take Him, Receive Him: Rest in His Righteousness
and
Plead His Blood!

The phrase “Cut to the Chase” means to get to the point without
wasting
time.  The phrase originated from early silent films.  Such films,
particularly comedies, often climaxed in chase scenes.  An unskilled
screenwriter or director, unsure how to get to the climax, would just
make
an abrupt transition, known as a cut.  Please take two or three minutes
and
read the biggest secret in the world.

The facts concerning life and death are very crucial.  Many people live
and
die without hearing and believing the true gospel of Jesus Christ.  You
must
die.  Eternity is long.  Death is certain – there is no escaping it.
  Your
days on earth are numbered.  You’ve sinned and broken God’s law
many times.
You’ve lied, stolen, cheated, lusted, and cursed many times.  You
choose
evil and violate your God-given conscience every day.  Your sin against
God
deserves Death and Hell.  If you’ve never trusted Christ, the wrath
of God
abides on you now.  But God (Jesus) died for you to save you from sin.

There is forgiveness in Christ alone.

God became a Man 2,000 years ago, and His name was Jesus Christ.
  Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners just like you.  Jesus lived a

‘perfectly sinless life’ for you, in order to give you a perfect
righteousness.  Then He died for your sins on Calvary’s Cross.  He
suffered
the wrath of God in your place and rose again the third day.

God’s Blood ran through Jesus’ veins and was shed for you
personally.  Jesus
was your Substitute; Your sin separated you from God, and Christ died
to
bring you back to God.  Look only to Him now.  Face reality, face your
sin,
turn to Christ; He alone can save you from sin and death.

Life if short, death is sure, sin the curse, Christ the cure.  Your
good
works are no good.  The very best you can do will land you in hell.
  Your
pet sin or your religion is not worth going to hell over.  Flee from
the
wrath to come.  God is ready to pardon you today.  Just look unto
Jesus,
only His Precious Blood can wash your sins away.  Don’t try to save
yourself, you can’t.  You can be free from your guilt.

But only one thing will satisfy an angry God whose law has been broken:
the
blood of God’s Precious Son.  Only the Precious Blood of Christ will
satisfy
God’s justice and quiet your soul and conscience. Don’t face death
alone.

Are you ready to die?  The only way to be ready is through Christ’s
Blood
Atonement for your sin.  You must trust entirely in His shed blood and
finished work to be saved from the wrath to come.  You must meet God at
the
Cross where the bleeding Lamb of God died for your sins.  Jesus Christ
can
save you from your sin if you just let Him.  Jesus said, “Ye must be
born
again.”  He will take you, if you take Him.  Jesus longs to save you
freely
by His grace.

Christ died for the ungodly, not for ‘good’ people.   Realize the
urgency of
turning to Christ now.  He died for you, rose again, and is living now
to
save you.  Please let Jesus save you now before its everlasting too
late.
Stop rejecting Christ, stop trying to work for salvation; Jesus did
everything for you freely.  Just give Him a try-get it settled.

Would you be safe?  Seek your safety in the Son of God, beneath the
protection of the Blood of His Cross.  In Him only are you safe.  Time
will
soon pass away.  His Cross is the only shield and hiding-place for time
and
eternity.  You must stand before the judgment and give account.  Seek
immediate safety in Christ Jesus, the Lamb of God.  He is able to save
them
to the uttermost that come unto God by Him.  He waits to welcome the
guilty
sinner.  He loves to save lost sinners.  Go to Him now, and deal with
Him
fully, and fervently, and honestly, about your sin and that soul of
yours.
He will not send you away empty.  Remember, Jesus only saves lost
sinners
that realize they can’t save themselves.  Please don’t die and face
God
sinful and unready when Jesus died to make you ready.  The Door is wide

open, enter now.  SEEK ye the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him

while He is near.  Plead His Blood.

There is something in the heart and soul of every sinner that is
looking out
for the Gospel of Grace.  And when it comes into their ears, there is a
true
hungering.  There is a sweetness about mercy, Divine Mercy freely given
to
the undeserving, hell-bound sinner.  Free grace holds the ear of man
and
stirs his heart.

Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I
will give you rest.” (Mt 11:28)  Man is labouring after salvation,
and he is
heavy laden with his sin and God’s wrath.  You have a burden on your
soul
and you are pressed down, and sorely wearied by the load you bear.
  Your
self-imposed labors will end in disappointment.  Sinner friend, cease
your
wearisome exertions and come to Jesus.  You are speedily active in
self-righteously working for salvation, but your vain efforts for favor
with
God only makes your burden worse and worse.  Your religious labors have

become a burden to you.  Besides the burden of your self-righteous
labor,
there comes upon you the awful, tremendous, crushing burden of past
sin, and
a sense of the wrath of God which is due to that sin from your past.

A soul that has to bear the load of its own sin, and the load of
God’s
Divine wrath is heavily laden.  Sin and wrath, and fears and
apprehensions
of death and eternity are pressing you downward every day.  The burden
daily
grows heavier.  Your active labors do not diminish it one ounce.  You
have
hoped, at the first, that if you labor vigorously, your burden would
gradually diminish the heap of your sin, but your labors have only
added to
your weariness beneath your sin and guilt’s pressure.  You always
feel a
weight of disappointment because your labor has not brought you rest,
and
you gain another burden of despair each day, because you fear that
deliverance from your sin will never come.  You are actively seeking
salvation man’s way; you are bearing the weight of your sin and of
God’s
wrath.  To you, Jesus is calling now, “Come unto me, and I will give
you
rest.”

A gift is not of merit but of Grace alone.  Wages are for those who
earn
them – but a gift is a matter of charity.  For those who feel their
unworthiness, those who are seeking salvation earnestly, and suffering
under
the weight of sin – Jesus will freely give to you what you cannot
earn or
purchase.  He will give forgiveness of sins to you as an act of His own

free, rich mercy.  And He is willing and prepared, if you come to Him,
to
give it to you right now this instant.

Christ Jesus invites you to “Come.”  Come sinner, you that are
laboring and
heavy laden.  Leave your religious labors.  Leave your self-reliant
efforts.
Leave your sins.  Leave your presumptions and guesses.  Leave your
superstition and religious nonsense.  Leave all in which up to now you
have
trusted, and come to Jesus!  Don’t look back; come to the cross as a
lost
sinner.  Rely solely upon the Savior.  Look unto Him and His precious
blood
to cleanse your heart from sin.  Come to Him who bore the load of your
past,
present, and future sins upon the Cross of Calvary, where He was made
to be
sin for you.  Come to Jesus, God’s divinely appointed Substitute and
Sacrifice for guilty sinners like you.  Rely upon Him.  Trust in Him as

having suffered in your place.  Look to Him for the payment of your sin
debt
which is due from you to the wrath of God.  This is how you come to
Jesus.

Repentance and Faith make up this, “Come” – the Repentance takes
place when
you leave the place where you now stand.  As a lost sinner you are
standing
underneath a spiritual ton of bricks called sin and the wrath of God.
  Come
to cross, kneel there as an empty sinner and be saved.   Faith comes
when
you put your trust and reliance upon the Lord Jesus Christ as your
Blood
Sacrifice for sin.  Come now.  Not tomorrow, or next month, or next
year.
Come now, at once.  Your delay will only make your sin burden heavier
and
more dangerous.  Flee to the cross now, fall down flat at Jesus feet,
and
let Him lift off your sin load.  Weary sinner, rest and recline upon
His
promise now, and let your soul rest in Him.  Come now!  By an
instantaneous
act of faith you will obtain instantaneous grace and peace, come and
rely
upon Jesus, and He will now give you rest.  Rest will immediately
follow
your unfeigned faith in the blood of the Crucified One.

Jesus says to you, “Come unto Me.”  Don’t go to the priest, or
the wafer, or
to Mary, or Buddha, or Mohammed, or the Pope, or your church, or the
baptismal pool.  There is no rest there.  Go right past all of these
religious distractions, to JESUS Himself, the Man, the God, the
Mediator,
the Redeemer, the Lamb of God, and the Propitiation for human guilt.
  If you
want true rest, come to Christ Jesus in Gethsemane, to Christ on
Calvary, to
Christ risen, to Christ ascended, to Christ interceding in heaven now.
  Lay
your sin burdens down at Jesus’ dear pierced feet, and find life in
looking
alone to Him.   Come is not “Do your best”.  Come is not “Learn
more.”  Come
is not “Get your life straightened out first.”  Come is a free
invitation to
poor, penniless sinners.  Come and take the rest your soul needs today.

Come and take the salvation that Jesus freely gives.  Without any
spiritual
money come, without any merit or goodness come, without any preparation

come.  It is just come, come now.  Come as you are, come with your sin
burden only, don’t bring any good works, you have none that will
satisfy the
holiness of God.  God is only pleased with Jesus’ perfect, sinless,
finished
work accomplished freely for your soul’s redemption.   Come with all
your
sin, just let Jesus take off the chain of Satan from your neck.

Spiritual rest is given to you by Jesus freely at once, not by degrees
based
upon your efforts.  Just reach out your empty hand of faith to Jesus,
and
rest will be poured into your hand and soul at once most freely.  You
will
possess this rest from Jesus now and forever.  It is a present rest,
rest
now.  This is not a rest earned by yourself by growth and advancement.
  But
it is a perfect rest given when you come to Jesus, given then and
there.  It
is perfect and complete rest in itself.  True Rest comes from the blood
and
righteousness of Jesus.  Your load of sin will be gone, your sins will
be
forgiven, and burden of your guilt will be taken away.  Your soul’s
rest is
given by Jesus’ Substitution and your faith in that Substitution.
  Divine
Justice for your sin was satisfied by the one bloody sacrifice of the
Lamb
of God which takes away your sin forever.  He had made full Atonement
on the
cross and only this will give your spirit rest.

Your mind longs for rest – it wants someone to fix its belief on that
can be
trusted.  Your conscience seeks rest and a sense of pardon.  Deep down
in
your soul, your conscience is crying out, “I want rest, I need
rest!”
Conscience is great source of unrest even to the best of men.  There is
no
purging the conscience from dead work except by the blood of Christ.
  Your
soul is seeking rest and confidence.  All your doubts will be removed
at the
foot of the cross.  All of your sinful tendencies will be destroyed
there
under His blood.  Your heart is yearning for satisfaction and the true
love
of God.  Christ will give rest to your entire being and peace about
everything.  Peace here on earth, in death, and in eternity and
everywhere.

Christ came into world to die for the ungodly and He came to rescue
sinners
who were without strength.   The self-righteous carnal mind kicks at
this
truth; you think that Christ died for good people like yourself.
  Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners, not saints.  There are only
ungodly people in this earth; there is none righteous, no, not one.
  The
whole human race has fallen and is degenerated into a lost condition.
  Some
are openly ungodly.  Some are secretly ungodly.  Others are religiously

ungodly, and this is a very dangerous and deceitful condition.  They
have a
form of godliness, but deny the power thereof.

Remember, Christ died only for the ungodly.  Jesus' form of death was
the
kind that ungodly sinners deserved – capital punishment.  He died
nailed to
a Cross.  He died the death of a felon with a thief on either side of
Him.
He died in the dark, crying, "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken
me?"
He died not because of His sin, but He died as sinners have to die, for
He
took upon Himself the sins of the ungodly.   And being found standing
in
their place, He felt the justice and wrath of God that should have
fallen
upon the ungodly.  Christ really died for the ungodly.  There is no
other
Atonement but the Substitution of Christ in the place of the ungodly.
  He
died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring you to God.

Man is naturally in a lost state through the fall of Adam.  You were
born
into the world, you have lived in it for years "without strength" to do
that
which is right in the sight of God.  You don't have the strength to
repent,
you are commanded to believe on Christ but you could and would not.
  The
Bread of Life was put on the table before you, but through your neglect
and
rejection you would not eat of it.  You were "without strength."

Only the Holy Spirit through the law of God can enlighten and awaken
you to
a sense of sin.  Then, you will see at once that your sin is not a
small
thing, and it will not be forgiven without an Atonement, but must be
followed by penalty, borne by someone.  The Son of God, the Lord Jesus
Christ, bled to death in unutterable agonies in consequence for your
sin.
You sin was an enormous and crushing burden on Him.  He cried out
beneath
its load.  There is pardon for every one of your transgressions only
through
the bleeding wounds of the Lamb of God.  Your sins were the nails, the
hammer, the spear, and the executioners of Christ.  Remember, Jesus
died for
you - Jesus died for you.

Pride makes the Gospel so difficult to understand.  The carnal mind
will not
accept that Jesus saves from sin and that all you have to do is accept
His
'finished' salvation.  You would prefer to do some great thing on your
own.
You want to 'be' something and make a name for yourself.  Human nature
craves to have a little hand in its own salvation - to feel something,
to
groan a little, or despair a certain time - but when the Gospel comes
with
the message, "Believe and live," pride will not consent to be saved on
such
poor terms.  Human nature longs for ‘vain’ glory.  Dear sinner
friend,
accept God’s salvation and you have it freely.  Just stretch out your
hand
and take what God freely gives to undeserving sinners.  Your heart must

first be humbled by the grace and goodness of God.  But sinful man will

believe anybody or anything but God Himself and His Gospel.
  Unregenerate
men cannot and will not believe God.

The love of sin also makes the Gospel so difficult to receive.  You do
not
wish to give up your favorite sins, your secret lusts, and so you
pretend
that the Gospel is very difficult to understand, or quite impossible to

accept - and so you excuse yourself and go still on in your willful
iniquities, and reject God's way of mercy.

The religious person imagines that surely the blessings of salvation
must be
meant for ‘deserving’ persons and Christ must be the Redeemer of
the
‘worthy’ and the ‘excellent.’  The carnal mind thinks, “good
comes only to
the good,” and you suppose that Grace is for the ‘commendable’
and Christ
for the ‘moral and upright.’  But the Gospel of the Bible is
intended only
for empty and unworthy sinners.  The Gospel seeks guilty persons.  The
Gospel is not a reward for the good and for the excellent or for those
who
think they have any measure of fitness or preparation for God’s
favor.  The
Gospel is only for lawbreakers, for the undeserving and worthless, for
those
who have gone astray like lost sheep, for the unworthy and disgraceful
transgressor.

Christ died to save SINNERS and He rose again to justify the ungodly.
  The
human heart with its pride kicks against this simple truth.  Christ’s
work
was only for the sinful.  Sinful man needs to be delivered from a great
evil
(sin) by a Divine Hand (Jesus Christ).   Sinners are greatly guilty and

totally incapable of procuring pardon by any works of their own.   God
will
only be merciful to a sinner’s unrighteousness when that sinner
trusts
completely in His Precious Son.  Mercy implies sinfulness.  Mercy can
only
be exercised where there is sin and Grace cannot be manifested except
to the
undeserving.  Compassion looks toward distress.  The Gospel issues its
invitation to those who are burdened with a load of sin and laboring to

escape from sin’s consequences – death and judgment.  The Gospel
invites the
sinner who has no spiritual money, or, in other words, no merit (good
points).   The Gospel calls to those who are needy, thirsty, poor, and
naked
as a result of their sin.   The gifts of the Gospel imply sin – life
is
offered to the dead, sight is given to the blind, freedom is for the
captives, cleansing is for the filthy, pardon is for the sinful.  These

Gospel blessings come not as a reward for your goodness, but sinners
are
invited to come and receive them ‘freely’ according to the Grace of
God.
What are the commands of the Gospel?  Repent.  Realize you are in
danger and
leave the state you are in – under the condemnation of sin and the
wrath of
God.  Believe – Rely and trust upon Jesus’ sinless works
(righteousness) and
precious blood to save your soul from hell fire.

The Gospel is the sinner’s friend.  It is the great feast for the
hungry,
the blind, the crippled, and the maimed.  It is the fountain opened for
sin
and for uncleanness.  The motto of the Gospel’s founder, the Lord
Jesus, is
this: “This Man receiveth sinners.”  The Gospel is a hospital for
the sick –
none but the guilty will ever be admitted to receive its benefits and
care.
The Gospel is free medicine for the diseased and dying – the whole
and the
self-righteous will never enjoy it healing power.  Those who imagine
that
they have some goodness before God will never care to be saved by
gratis
grace.  The Gospel seeks the sinner.  On the sinner only, the Gospel
pours
its blessings.

To the self-righteous, the Gospel is a foul-tasting and disgusting
doctrine.
The very best thing you can do, since the Gospel looks toward sinners

only, is to get where the Gospel looks – honestly confess your
sinfulness to
God – When you get there you will be in your right place.  The
self-righteous and the condescending refuse to be saved as a whore, a
beggar, a thief, or a murderer.  They refuse the absolute mercy of God.
  The
Bible says there is only one principle upon which the Lord saves
sinners and
it is that of pure Grace.  Do you understand this?  You have sinned
against
light and knowledge and your conscience.  You know you have!  You may
not
have plunged into the grosser sins in act and deed, yet in secret
desires
and lustful thoughts and in unclean imaginations you have wandered far
away
from God and have offended and grievously transgressed against God.
  The
very thought of foolishness is sin.  Therefore to him that knoweth to
do
good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.  A proud heart, a high look,
and
the plowing of the wicked is sin.  Whatsoever is not of faith (God’s
perfect
will) is sin.  Will you take your place as a sinner and be saved by
free
mercy?   You must come to Jesus as a guilty, undeserving sinner, and
take
what the Lord freely presents to you only by believing.  You are a
sinner –
it is indisputable and you can depend on that fact.  But Jesus Christ
can
save you by His blood.  The old hymn goes like this, “There is wonder

working power in the precious blood of the Lamb.”  Grace comes to
sinners
where they are, just as they are, you only have to admit that you are a
poor
and needy sinner.

This doctrine of ‘free grace’ deals a deadly blow at man’s
arrogance and
self-conceit.   This truth smites your self-confidence and your
goodness in
the neck and makes you feel your guilt.  It shows you the great evil of
the
pride resting in your heart.  A sense of your sin is the very threshold
of
mercy.  A consciousness of your transgression and shortcomings, the
grief
and guilt because of past offenses are the preparations for the Gospel
to
save you freely.  The Gospel is digging out your faulty foundation and
is
creating a place for the chief cornerstone and the sure foundation –
the
Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

The whole Gospel lies in this:  There was One in Heaven at the right
hand of
God the Father.  He was the Son of the living God.  In order to save
you, a
poor, lost, and ruined sinner, the adorable Son of God came down, down,
down
to the manger, to the Cross, to the grave, to the lowest parts of the
earth,
even into hell itself.  He came down in grief, in rejection, in agony,
in
shame, even in death Jesus came.  He came under the weight and curse of
your
sin; He came down into this dark world and suffered in your place.
  Jesus
came and born the punishment of your sin, if you believe in Him you are

justified freely from all things.  God became a Man and His name was
Jesus
Christ.  The Lord of Heaven became a baby, God was manifested in the
flesh,
He came to earth to put away the sinner's sin and forgive them freely.
  Do
you believe this?  Do you believe that Jesus bore your sins in His own
body
on the tree?  Will you trust your soul’s eternal destiny to that
fact?

Remember and Believe:  The Lord Jesus rose again and came up from the
dead
victoriously to give you everlasting righteousness.  He rose from the
dark
tomb!  He ascended into Heaven from Mount Olivet.  He ascended until a
cloud
received Him out of His disciples' sight into heavenly places, and then
He
sat down on the right hand of God.  If you believe in your heart that
God
raised Him from the dead, you are saved from sin at once.  If so, YOU
ARE
SAVED FOREVER.  Doubt it not.

What is to be done to go to Heaven when you die?  There are two things
to be
done.  First, that you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Take Him to be your Blood Sacrifice - trust Him wholly and alone from
this
time forth as your Ransom from sin.  "Well, that is too simple," you
may
say.  I agree with you that the Gospel is simple.  I think it is even
too
simple.  I know it.  And because the Gospel is so simple, you kick
against
it.  You argue that is too hard to understand, and then next day you
say it
is too easy, it is too good to be true.  This shows how hard and
stubborn
the will of man is toward God's plan of free love.  It takes a miracle
of
Grace to lead a lost sinner to take Christ freely as His Savior.  Let
Jesus
save you, that is all - but this is too much for your proud
self-confidence.
Your resistance to grace proves the deep depravity of man's nature.
  If
you are willing to have Christ freely without works, Christ is yours!
Simply believe that Christ is yours and be at peace with God.  The
simple
act of trusting Jesus brings you justification from God.

Poor Soul, just go to the cross and sit down before the bleeding Lord
of
Heaven and say, “Lord, did you come to save the guilty?  I am such
and I
trust You to save me.  Jesus, did you die for the ungodly?  I am such,
Lord,
I trust in Your Precious Blood to cleanse me.  Dear Lamb of God, Is
your
bloody death for sinners?  I take that position, I am a sinner and
nothing
at all, I plead guilty!  I accept the sentence of Your Law as being
just,
but save me.”  If you make this confession, It is done!  You are
saved!  Go
in peace.  Your sins are forgiven you!  Go your way and rejoice.

Say this to this Most High, “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to
Your
lovingkindness.” The Justice of God owes you nothing but death –
mercy alone
can spare your soul.  Have done with every idea of making out a good
case
for yourself – admit your sinful self to be a bad case and plead
guilty!
Cast yourself upon the mercy of the court and ask for mercy, free
mercy,
undeserved mercy, unearned favor.   The only ride to heaven is a
‘free
ride.’  You get everything for nothing or you will get nothing at the
cross,
the Gospel and its blessing are an eternal hand-out and freebie.  The
Gospel
feast is a free lunch for poor, starving sinners.  The helping hand of
Grace
is pierced because of your sins and offers you an eternal handout.
  Will you
take this charity and free assistance from God, poor sinner?  Cry out
and
beg God to have mercy on your soul, for Jesus’ sake.
